We are local to two of the major horse show arenas. The South of
England Showground at Ardingly and Hickstead, the All England Show
Jumping ground.
If
you like polo we have Cowdray Park at Midhurst. Knepp Castle at West
Grinstead, Ham up near Richmond, The Royal Berkshire, Ascot and The
Guards Polo Club, Windsor.
Golf, we have a vast selection of places, starting with The Burgess
Hill Golf Centre 01444 258 585. Mannings Heath Golf Club - Mannings
Heath off the A281. The Singing Hills Golf Club near Woodmancote on
the B2117 Brighton Road . The Mid-Sussex Golf Club is in Spatham Lane,
Ditchling. Piltdown Golf Club is in Piltdown, near Uckfield off the
A272. Pyecombe Golf Club on Clayton Hill at Pyecombe off the A273 and
continue up the road to Hassocks Golf Club on the London Road continuing
on the A273.
There
are many wonderful gardens, all very local to us; Wakehurst Place with
the Millennium seed bank, Borde Hill, Leonardslee, Nymans, Sheffield
Park, to name but a few.
Racing, both Flat and National Hunt, we have Brighton, Fontwell Park,
Plumpton, Kempton, Sandown Park, Lingfield, Ascot and Goodwood only
a few lengths or hurdles away!

Sussex is full of castles and fortifications, Battle Abbey, 1066 and
all that, Leeds, Herstmonceux, Arundel and Hever all have Castles.
If you are still yearning for your childhood then we
can offer the Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park where steam power
is still puffing away and you may find Thomas the Tank Engine and friends.
In Ashdown Forest there was a chap called Christopher Robin who played
a rather pointless game called pooh- sticks off the bridge into the
stream.
